Today’s Lesson:

Today I’m going to show you a really cute and fun app: Disney Memories HD. Now before you groan or exit out of this page, bear with me for a minute. I was a little hesitant before downloading this app too, but I’m glad I did. It’s actually very well done and there are some neat features that other photo editing apps don’t have (besides the obvious – Disney stickers!). I would say that this app is a must have for any Disney fan and it’s especially nice for those who have just been on a Disney vacation (or if you’re like me, dreaming of a Disney vacation!).

Get it for iphone here

Get it for Android here

So let’s get to it! Once again, this is a fairly straightforward app to use, just play around with it for a few minutes and you’ll be a pro in no time!

here are a few examples of what this app can do:

Start by choosing a photo from your library or taking a new photo directly from this app.

photo 4 (3)

Start decorating your photo: there are some cute Disney themed (of course) accessories or stickers to add to your photos. Drag them into position and make them larger or smaller as needed.

Add a filter: I really like some of their filters and they are different from the filters that come with every other photo editing app out there.

Add a fun Disney frame (and even if you weren’t recently at one of the Disney parks, you will look like you were!)

You can even add a frame that has one of the Disney characters posing in it – now you really can pretend you were at the Park – and you have the photo of yourself with Pluto to prove it! 🙂

From your settings menu, you can choose to have it automatically save your photo to your camera roll (which I love), and if you want to make your photo albums private or public.

Another cool unique thing this app does: you can set an alarm to go off and have a Disney character greet you! That would be some wake up call!

Disney Memories HD app Review:

The Good:

– It’s free!

– It’s very straightforward and easy to use

– It has some neat Disney themed frames, characters, stickers and effects to add to your photos

– Has some really neat filters

– Has a cool alarm clock feature

The Not so Good:

– You really can’t do much actual photo editing with this app so make sure your photos are pretty much ready to go before importing them into here (red eye correct, crop, etc)

In Conclusion:

This is a fun, well designed app and it’s FREE! I love Disney stuff so this app is one I will keep on my phone even if I don’t use it too often. Fun for the occasional photo, but when we actually get to go on a Disney trip, I will use this app a lot. Will be great to print the photos off for scrapbooks!
